#NHS @ The Seacole Ward, Springfield Hospital London is the only dedicated residential ward in the NHS offering 24-hour nursing care to patients with severe obsessive-compulsive disorder.

“Since Covid, the demand for beds has shot up, the waiting list is now over a year. Young people have been hit particularly hard, with 372,438 under-18s referred for mental health treatment between April and December 2020, a 28 per cent rise on the number during the same period in 2019.”

We wanted to share this with you, it’s a difficult time for our Young People. Hopefully, we are evolving, getting on the right track on how society views mental health.

“We can remember therapy being a massive secret, people wouldn’t admit it, but now there’s no shame attached at all. We’re at a place where we accept that it’s completely fair enough for people to talk about what they’re going through. In years to come, hopefully, more progress will have been made.”
