”We have been Foster carer’s for over 20 years with the Local Authority, Our friends moved over to Fusion, and invited us too. It took a lot of persuading, as we were fearful of the unknown and if it would really be any better, and after 2 years, we finally moved over. This has been the best move of our fostering career! ”My name is Teresa Richards and my husbands name is Brian. We have been working in foster care for fusion fostering for about 6 years. Previously I worked as a health care assistant and Brian as a builder. We had thought about fostering for many years but decided to wait until our youngest daughter  finished her education. This would allow us to commit to fostering fully without disrupting education. Well what can I say? Fostering is a very rewarding job. Working for fusion was the best decision we made. We receive the best support any one could wish for,as well as excellent training to help us to provide the best care for the children. Fostering isn’t always easy and can at times be very challenging to say the least. But with supervision and support from our fusion family, the challenges can be overcome. As a result we now have 3 lovely children in our care who are treated as members of our own family. We love our job, the best job we have ever had and would never change it for the world. ”After 20 years of fostering with LA we were feeling stale and tired for all sorts of reasons…the biggest was lack of support. We then started to look at Fusion Fostering on advice from a colleague, we decided after a long discussion with a Fusion Social Worker to go to a ‘back to fostering’ meeting. WOW, it really woke us up and on the journey home we couldn’t stop talking about this new company and their fresh ideas. To cut a long story short, we have been with Fusion now for 2 years and have never looked back. We both feel part of a team of people who actually listen to us and support when necessary. Training is excellent with no pressures… 2 very dear friends of ours even left the same LA. They could see how any stress we had was gone, & have joined the team too.
