We recognise the extreme importance of creating, maintaining, and continually promoting a safe space where all backgrounds and cultures are respected and valued in our organisation. We ensure that every person – staff, carer, or child – feels represented and is welcomed into an open-minded and inclusive environment.

We are committed to training our staff and carers and providing them with intercultural information and resources so that they have the skills and awareness to continue to provide a safe, inclusive space for looked after children. All of our carers receive training and support to ensure they know how to care for children from diverse backgrounds and how to teach them about social inclusivity and discrimination. This ensures that each and every young person is given a chance to thrive and celebrate their unique identity and background, enhancing self-worth and building confidence.
