Want to take on a new challenge?

If you love working with kids and young people, enjoy working from home and have a spare room at the ready, you could be just who we are looking for! Fusion Fostering are an independent fostering agency looking for new applicants ready to become foster carers!

Foster care might not be your usual 9-5 day job, but it can be a fantastically rewarding career. Our carers report having extremely high levels of job satisfaction. They know that what they are doing helps to change a young person’s life and improve their future outcomes. What could be more rewarding?

The number of children and young people coming into care each year is rising, and with 13% of the foster carer workforce retiring every year, we urgently need to recruit new carers to make sure that all children across the South Central region are looked after. If you think you have what it takes, don’t stop there, speak to us today and join our friendly team.

What types of child placements are needed?

We need people who can create loving families for a range of child placements. This may be toddlers or teenagers, boys or girls, single children or even siblings. We cannot predict the type of placements we may get as they often come to us from local authorities with short notice and requiring urgent care.

We want to recruit carers who are happy to work with a range of child placements. When you apply, we will discuss your individual circumstance to see what type of placement may suit you best. Perhaps you have specific skills or experience that would make you suited to parent and child placements? Or, maybe you have amazing patience and a way with words that makes you perfect for handling children with behavioural issues? Whatever your interests or preferences, we want to hear from you.

Who can foster?

Anyone can foster! If you have the drive and the passion and fit a few specific set criteria (you can find out more about the fostering requirements here) then you have all it takes to become a fantastic carer.

You do not need to worry about being ‘under-qualified’ or ‘inexperienced’. One of the great things about choosing to foster with Fusion Fostering is that we provide comprehensive support packages with amazing benefits including regular training, 24 hour support, generous financial allowances and 14 days paid annual leave.
