We are dedicated to delivering high quality care to the children and young people we are responsible for.
A family approach is central to how we operate, working together as a team to provide the best service we can.
We strive to continue to grow and improve, understanding the value that carers and children play in our progression.

Whether you choose to join Fusion as a social worker, member of staff or a carer, we have clear aims and objectives that we strive to work towards. These aims and objectives all centre around our passion for providing a fantastic service with a family approach. In everything that we do, we want to ensure a safe and secure place for the looked after children that come to us. Their welfare is at the heart of our approach.

What are our objectives?

In order to promote positive experiences for looked after young people, we have set out clear objectives to make sure that our services are the best they can be. Some of our core objectives are:

To provide a professional telephone support service where children of any age, carers and local authorities can receive support and advice 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
To be the support system that bridges the gap between the past and the present, supporting cared for children to understand their past experiences and look forward to future success.
To encourage and support contact with birth families, placing siblings together where possible and endorsing positive relationships.
To recruit a range of carers, in a timely manner, who respect and value difference and who encourage children to be proud of their identity.
To provide our carers with all the training, resources, assistance, development and financial remuneration they need to provide nurturing and positive family life experiences for looked after children.
To maintain a skilled and qualified management team of practitioners who are appropriately trained to deliver a high level of support to carers and children in foster care.

How we work together

Our entire team structure is designed with the needs of the looked after child or young person in mind. We want to work as a team to ensure they receive the best care and support.

Registered Manager – Our registered managers look after the day-to-day business of Fusion Fostering and have a whole host of skills and experience when it comes to care.

Social Workers – Our Supervising Social Workers and Senior Supervising Social Workers are qualified childcare practitioners who operate in the area local to you. They are responsible for the recruitment, assessment, support and supervision of our registered foster carers.

Foster Carers – Our foster parents look after children who are placed with them. We ensure that any child who is placed with a carer is a good match and that the carer is happy and confident in their abilities to provide for that child.
